In a recent episode of Spazio Rai Alto Adige group leader of the MultiOmics Data Science at Laimburg Research Centre, Cecilia Mittelberger spoke about the MOC project.
The interview focused on the challenge and potential of integrating genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics into a single, comprehensive MultiOmics approach. As Mittelberger explained, bringing these diverse data layers together requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration – a task being tackled jointly with Eurac Research.
A key objective of the project is to first identify concrete needs and translate scientific Expertise into practical services. By the end of 2027, the interdisciplinary competence centre is set to be established at NOI Techpark in Bolzano. The centre will provide state-of-the-art omics analyses for companies, research organizations and institutions in South Tyrol and beyond.
